Parking

Many Uptown 17 business operators provide free customer parking at the rear of their premises.  In addition, metered parking extends the length of 17th Avenue and along 16th Avenue from 8th to 11th Street SW.  With the co-operation of the Calgary Board of Education, parking is also available on weekends at Western Canada High School.

Currently parking at meters within the BRZ’s boundaries is $1.25 per hour. With the exception of long stay meters along 16th Avenue, most meters have a two hour maximum and fees are payable between 9am and 6pm Monday through Saturday.

Business operators are encouraged to remind their customers that peak hour parking restrictions are in place on 17th Avenue from 7am to 8:30am and 3:30pm to 6pm.
